This is off topic but I thought I'd just see. I'm not a video guy, but I'm
ready to export some things for DVD Studio Pro from Final Cut HD. Has
anyone else done this? I'm just wondering what you like for your export
settings.

James,

Been there done that a dozen times at least! I'd use compressor and set it
to the appropriate length choice. Say for instance your video is 90
minutes long I'd choose DVD 90 minute best quality .. 4:3 (or 16:9
if that is what ya want). The best quality is important because it uses a 2
pass VBR which is essential for good motion. Then in your inspector
window click the quality tab and then you can either just go with the std.
choices which are great, or if your pressed for disc space you can bump
the average bit rate down to NO LOWER than 3.0 Mbps. Also for the
audio I normally use Aiff, but if your pressed for space Dolby uses
considerably less disc space.

Hope that helps!

Awesome. Thanks John, I was hoping you'd see this. I'm so much more
confortable with actionscript :)
